For this module, we were given an opportunity to travel to Osaka, Japan to explore local Japanese cultures, outcomes and learnings that we can take and then, applied to the final work by the end of the semester.
Based from the trip, we were given four keywords to choose from which is "Heritage" or, "Assimilation" or "Less is More" or "Simplicity". Besides, we were to make in-depth research based on the keywords chosen also, make a data collection that is beneficial to our idea proposal and not to mention, the final outcome of the artwork.
Below are the complete module outline to briefly show our required produced work.

After discussing with my group mate, Rowanne we decided to explore on the word "Simplicity" and create a final artwork based on the word. Firstly, both my group mate and I made an in-depth research towards the word "Simplicity" to briefly know what does it mean and how does this keyword is applied in the Japanese culture.
Based on the proposal slides, we also purposed a variation of ideas, concepts and mediums in order for us to explore more towards the chosen keyword, also trying not to lock ourself down with just one literal idea that we have.
Going through , we also have our datas collected coming from Japan which guides us towards idea generations and execution styles as well. We also finalised our idea that is provided in the slides as well which is using the idea of Japanese proverbs relating to silence and ideate it into a set of symbols, also for the audience to learn and understand the proverbs more through visual learnings.
